Skiing in Gulmarg: A Picture Story

Ever wondered what it really looks like out there in Gulmarg during the winters? Come take a sneak peek at our skiing courses in Gulmarg and the glorious landscape that accompanies it to visualise what your winter adventure could look like!

1. The slopes of Gulmarg welcome skiers from across the country and even the world so get ready to see a lot of skiers in action, gliding on some of the best powder in the country!

2. Equipment plays a key role ensuring you have the best experience. It is always important to find the right fit so that you are comfortable and are able to use the equipment with ease. At Bikat, we use the best equipment available to offer a fun-filled and smooth skiing adventure for your winter holiday!

3. You might have a few falls before you get a hang of the technique but that’s where the fun is right? Our instructors will be with you at every step of the way to ensure you master the body positioning and other techniques before you go gliding on the slopes of Gulmarg.

4. The Gulmarg Gondola is one of the best parts of taking up a skiing course in Gulmarg. Not only does it ferry you across the slopes but also offers stunning views of the Pir Panjal range draped in thick snow which is a treat for both skiers and non-skiers alike!

5. The powder conditions are most favourable in the months of January to March and particularly from mid-Jan to mid-Feb making it the best time to try out the slopes in Gulmarg.

6. Imagine skiing to these views! Bright blue skies, snow covered coniferous trees and gentle slopes that will pave the way for your next big skiing adventure!

7. Isn’t this what we all imagine paradise would look like? Before you start your run, pause to admire the beauty of Gulmarg and how the winters enhance it and transform the region into a winter wonderland.

8. If you do not actually see this you would think it’s AI generated. The moving clouds, the giant snow mountains and cosy cottages with a dash of coniferous trees make for the perfect winter landscape that anyone can dream of. These views are just a bonus during your skiing courses.

9. One of the most crucial parts of the course is understanding your equipment and learning to carry it. You will be doing a lot of this during your course but where better to do this than Gulmarg with such views in the background?

10. You know how everyone talks about Gulmarg being draped in snow? This is what they mean! We don’t think even a satin drape could look this smooth. Even if you are not skiing, you can spend all day rolling in some fresh snow or even just admiring these views with a cup of tea to keep you warm.
